چکیده
In the current investigation, woody stem of Moringa oleifera was processed by chipping and milling subsequently exposed to a combination pretreatments involving 3% v/v solution nitric acid autohydrolysis. The simultaneous saccharification fermentation (SSF) pretreated hydrolysate M. conducted using Zymomonas mobilis Kluyveromyces marxianus in occurrence commercial cellulase enzyme, Tween 80, sodium azide. process parameters for Z. were optimized individually, including substrate concentration 5% (w/v), inoculum (v/v), pH 5.4, temperature 34 °C. Similarly, K. marxianus, with an 5.1, 41 highest cellulosic ethanol achieved micro-organism after period 96 h.

Cellulosic Ethanol Production by Recombinant Cellulolytic Bacteria Harbouring pdc and adh II Genes of Zymomonas mobilis
The ethanol fermenting genes such as pyruvate decarboxylase (pdc) and alcohol dehydrogenase II (adh II) were cloned from Zymomonas mobilis and transformed into three different cellulolytic bacteria, namely Enterobacter cloacae JV, Proteus mirabilis JV and Erwinia chrysanthemi and their cellulosic ethanol production capability was studied. Recombinant E. cloacae JV was found to produce 4.5% and ...
متن کاملTranscriptional analysis of Kluyveromyces marxianus for ethanol production from inulin using consolidated bioprocessing technology
BACKGROUND Ethanol production from non-crop materials, such as Jerusalem artichokes, would make a great contribution to the energy industry. The non-conventional yeast, Kluyveromyces marxianus, is able to carry out ethanol fermentation of sugar molecules obtained from inulin-containing materials by consolidated bioprocessing. Lower inulin concentrations and micro-aeration can lead to a relative...
متن کاملEthanol production by Zymomonas mobilis in fed-batch fermentations.
The production of ethanol by Zymomonas mobilis NRRL B-4286 was studied in fed-batch cultures. Initial percent (w/v) glucose, rate of feed, and quantity of 50%; (w/v) glucose feed were varied. Glucose inhibition of growth rate occurred at concentrations greater than 8% (w/) Feed was begun after 4 h incubation. Feed volume was ca. 36%; of starting batch volume to get ca. 10%; (w/v) ethanol at har...
متن کاملProduction of inulinase from Kluyveromyces marxianus using dahlia tuber extract
Various carbon sources were evaluated for production of inulinase by yeast, Kluyveromyces marxianus MTCC 3995. Highest inulinase activity was observed with Dahlia extract (25.3 nkat mL(-1)) as carbon source. The enzyme activity was 1.4 folds higher than that observed in media containing pure chicory inulin (17.8 nkat mL(-1)). The yeast showed good growth on a simple medium containing dahlia ext...
متن کاملMetabolic engineering of Zymomonas mobilis for 2,3-butanediol production from lignocellulosic biomass sugars
BACKGROUND To develop pathways for advanced biofuel production, and to understand the impact of host metabolism and environmental conditions on heterologous pathway engineering for economic advanced biofuels production from biomass, we seek to redirect the carbon flow of the model ethanologen Zymomonas mobilis to produce desirable hydrocarbon intermediate 2,3-butanediol (2,3-BDO). 2,3-BDO is a ...
